Sleep disorder
Some patients may require an overnight sleep study to determine if they have obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome (OSAS). You do not need to stay in hospital overnight – our sleep unit offers a home sleep study service (domicillary).
Special school nursing
The special school nursing team supports children and young people, aged between 3-19 years old, who have a range of learning disabilities, physical and neurological impairments and different medical conditions, in the special school setting.
Stroke and TIA
The team provides a hyper-acute service, along with continuing management of stroke patients – including thrombolysis, investigation, assessment and rehabilitation. We also run a daily rapid access transient ischaemic attack (TIA) service/stroke prevention clinic at the Lister.
