Following a robust recruitment process, we’re delighted to announce that Theresa Murphy will be joining East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust as our new chief nurse.
Theresa has a wealth of experience having started her career as a senior nurse in critical care, transplantation and acute medicine and has been the chief nursing officer in a range of organisations including Portsmouth University Hospital Trust and The Hillingdon Hospital Foundation Trust. Theresa is also a previous Florence Nightingale Leadership scholar.
This news follows Rachael Corser’s announcement in May that she’ll be taking up the role of chief nursing officer at the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care System.
Upon her appointment, Theresa said:
“I am delighted to have been offered the role of chief nurse at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. I’m really looking forward to meeting and working with everyone across the Trust – including our nurses, midwives and allied health professionals – to develop our patient pathways in order to deliver high quality care to our patients and the local community.”
Adam Sewell-Jones, chief executive of East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, said:
“On behalf of the Trust I would like to congratulate Theresa on her successful appointment. Theresa is an impressive senior nursing leader, with extensive experience in leading nursing, midwifery and allied health professionals at executive level. I very much look forward to working with her to deliver high quality, compassionate care for our communities.”
Theresa will be joining East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust later this summer.
