Patient Safety Incident Investigation (PSII) report into closure of Bedford Renal Unit in February 2024

Following a presentation at both public and private Trust Board on Wednesday 15 January, full findings from a recent Patient Safety Incident Investigation (PSII) report into the temporary closure of Bedford Renal Unit in February 2024 have been published in the link above.

The Trust has taken immediate steps to address a number of concerns raised during the report, and continues to prioritise longer-term improvements to ensure the safety and resilience of renal services.
