It’s an exciting time for Radiology. We work in brand new services with a highly motivated team who are always working hard to support our patients, and each other. We’re also expanding, so we’re looking for radiographers and sonographers who share our excitement for our future.
In Radiology, we are planning for our future. We’re working alongside our community to make sure that we’re always pushing our services forward. We’re creating a Community Diagnostic Hub, a one stop shop for checks, scans and tests, in the new QEII Hospital at Welwyn Garden City. This means that millions of patients will benefit from earlier diagnostic tests closer to home.
If you’re looking to progress in Radiology, we’re the place to be. Our effort goes into our people – we work hard to develop together here. Our workforce are engaged, flexible and skilled. We are also pioneers! Our state-of-the-art robot makes a difference to patients undergoing cancer operations at Lister Hospital. It’s one of the first hospitals of its size to adopt the very latest technology. Could you join our forward thinking team?
Here’s how some of our current team feel about working here in Radiology:
Before joining the NHS, I didn’t know of the wide variety of jobs available. But there is something for all skillsets and qualifications here. I’ve found a career within the Trust and believe anybody else considering to join can as well.
“There is a sense of what I can only describe as dedication to the service the staff provide. Whatever department you find yourself in, there are staff members who believe in the work they are doing. And we can all have a good laugh when needed!”
“Radiology is a large team of over 240 staff and no day is ever the same. I think the team is like no other. Different modalities all coming together to deliver the best patient care and experience. The staff are so supportive of each other and it is an absolute pleasure to come to work.”
