East & North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity funds extra equipment, facilities, research and staff development, which complement services provided by the NHS, helping the Trust to reach its objective of being among the best healthcare providers in the country.
Our Charity supports the four hospitals within the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, The Lister, The New QE2, Hertford County and the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. We work hard with our clinical colleagues to identify meaningful projects to benefit patients, above and beyond what the NHS can provide, making a direct impact on our patients and visitors through generous donations.
We fund a wide variety of projects that help to make a difference to care of patients, from new born babies to the elderly. We raise money to fund projects small and large, our projects and appeals range from funding wifi for our visitors to a state-of-the-art MRI scanner.
Donations have meant that we have recently been able to purchase highly advanced equipment for departments such as Urology, Maternity, Emergency, Cancer services and much more, to read about the difference we have made please open our impact report.
We strive to be at the forefront of medical care and this means that we also fund innovative research and specialist staff training. As well as this we carry out refurbishment and building projects to enhance our patient and visitor comfort.
With your vital support we can continue to transform the hospitals that care for you and your loved ones.
