Dr Fatima Kagalwala is a highly accomplished Consultant Paediatrician with many years of clinical experience. Having completed post-graduate Paediatric training from renowned Grant Medical College and JJ Group of Hospitals in Mumbai, Dr Kagalwala moved to UK in 2005 to further widen her experience. She has worked across West Midlands, Northern region and in London including Great Ormond Street, Imperial and UCL. She offers specialist paediatric treatment for a comprehensive range of paediatric problems.
She is the Lead for Paediatric Haematology at her Trust.
Teaching – Currently medical student tutor for UCL (Lead) and Cambridge medical students and an undergraduate OSCE examiner.
Clinical Governance – Lead for Clinical Governance in Paediatrics at East and North Herts NHS Trust. Takes prime responsibility for ensuring guidelines are updated and chairs the risk management meetings.
Research – Principal Investigator for ITP research study at ENHT. She has conducted research on “Early diagnosis of childhood cancers from a Primary Care Perspective”.
